I'm Tara, an online health and wellness coach, retreat leader, and host of local workshops dedicated to empowering women to create routines that support a happy and healthy lifestyle. At our hub, we embrace the Living in the Grey philosophy. We believe that wellness isn't about extremes or all-or-nothing approaches. It's about finding balance, flexibility, and sustainability in your journey towards well-being. Strength, determination, routine and joy are 4 areas I’ve improved on since I started working with Tara!  When I got the call from my doctor and I found out I had breast cancer, I was in the middle of doing one of my workout programs.  Once I wiped away the tears and knew I was eventually going to be ok, I hit the play button again to finish up my last few minutes of exercise. Never in a million years would I have thought that I had that strength and determination inside of me! Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be changing my morning and night routines.  Never in a million years would I have thought that I would not give up when I don’t see results.  Never in a million years would I imagine that I would have an amazing community of women who I can learn from and just be myself with.  Never in a million years would I have thought that at least 2x a year I would be going on retreats and feeling like a teenager again!  Wow, that’s a lot; but, I can thank Tara for that…  She taught me how to live in the grey (and accept that), not to feel guilty if I’ve missed a day of exercise, that it is possible to have a good routine and get rid of the bad ones, the importance for sleep and “me” time, believing in myself and accepting myself.  So thank you Tara for all the one on one zoom calls, the informative group zoom calls, the monthly walks, the activities/outings and amazing retreats!

Attending the Girls in the Grey retreats are a transformative experience.  The blend of exercise programs, health/food tips, and serene surroundings created the perfect environment for rejuvenation. The trainers were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, tailoring workouts to fit individual needs and fitness levels. The nutritious meals provided not only fueled our bodies but also educated us on sustainable, healthy eating habits, but it is also OK to live in the grey. The camaraderie and inclusivity among the girls foster a sense of community and motivation. I leave all the retreats feeling revitalized, healthier, and equipped with tools to maintain a balanced lifestyle(but I live too much in the grey, but the tools are definitely there and my takeaway intention is always to do better). I can’t recommend this retreat enough for anyone looking to kickstart their wellness journey.

There is so much to say about this community and about Tara.  I am an introverted extrovert.  I love being with people only once I get to know them.  Tara has made me feel welcomed enough that I went on my first retreat and have made life long friendships.  I will always be so ever grateful.  I love the activities she plans - from puppy yoga to walks and lunches and dinners.  We get time to workout - socialize, meditate and just be ourselves.  I believe in the community of women that we have, the bond we share is 2nd to none.  It's a judgement free zone at all times.  Once you get to really know these ladies - you think "well we aren't all that different from one another".  And we truly aren't.  Tara, you shine like the top of the Chrysler building.  You made this community.  You made people feel appreciated and welcomed.  You make people feel wanted.  And you make them want to come back for more.  At least I know that's how I feel.  I am looking forward to all things you have in store for me and this community.
